Systemic issue. Reminds me of the business school application process. At least one app asked me to: 1) name all relatives that were school alumni, & 2) list the names & occupations of my parents. Keep in mind that I was in my late 20s & hadn't lived with my parents in ~10 yrs.
There’s no comparison between paying for tutors and private school for your kids and doing what these individuals are alleged to have done.
Pretty much everyone should be gaming every system to the best of their legal ability. It’s called doing your best.
