13/03/2019The High Court has ordered the Northern Territory government to pay 2.5 million dollars compensation to a group of native title holders.

Sky News host Paul Murray says the decision means that people ‘disconnected from a spiritual home’ due to infrastructure such as roads and schools is justification for compensation. Speaking to Mr Murray, former Labor MP Stephen Conroy says the financial impact for the NT is ‘dramatic’ when they are ‘already struggling’, and that the federal government will need to ‘bail them out’.
