Pakatan succumbed to ‘moral cowardice’ in death penalty u-turn, says Lawyers for Liberty

The former Bagan Serai MP claimed the reversal followed conservative pressure, and that PH had failed to display moral leadership. “In giving in to unjustified pressure and irrational objections, Pakatan Harapan failed to display moral leadership, but instead succumbed to moral cowardice,” the former MP said.

“To hold out hope of being spared the gallows, only to have the hope snatched away again is extremely cruel and unjust,” the lawyer argued.

Lancau punya lawyers, your job is to practice the law made by Malaysian people, not to teach Malaysians about moral. These lawyers seriously believe that they know more about morality than the rest of us.

Is this the face that want families of those killed wantonly not to demand their 'pound of flesh'?

Eliminate death penalty but what justice for families of those killed innocently? Wanton killings of joggers, female drivers kidnapped at shopping malls, snatch theft etc.

Let him go somewhere else with latheefa koya. Malaysia maybe not suitable fot u guys.

Aikk tak jadi pulak? What a disappointment.

Why moral cowardice? It's a small step in the right direction.
