A man accused of helping Ashley Dale's "killers" told detectives he feared they would "kill his family" in a police interview.
. The 26-year-old is alleged to have taken possession of a Hyundai i30N Performance which was used during the shooting from another man in the dock, Joseph Peers, and arranged for it to be stored at an address on Waring Avenue in St Helens, the home of his friend Abbie Jevins. "There was big cameras in my face, they could tell people I’ve spoke to yous. That’s what’s made me not tell the full honest truth. I was scared for people around me. They can do what they want to me, but I’m scared for other people.
Paul Greaney KC told a jury of five men and seven women during the prosecution's opening earlier this month that Witham and "driver" Peers, were "dispatched" to assassinate Harrison and "leave no witnesses". They had allegedly received their orders from Niall Barry, Sean Zeisz and Ian Fitzgibbon - who were said to have been "directing operations" from a flat on Pilch Lane in Huyton.
"This time, they were not to be diverted from their intention to kill. One of the men approached the front door of 40 Leinster Road and he kicked it in. Ashley plainly became aware of what was happening. She screamed and fled towards the back door of the house, but the man entered the house and he pursued her.
"Lee Harrison seems to have had an association with the group of which Dusty was part. Whilst at the festival, Sean Zeisz was assaulted and his attackers included Jordan Thompson.
