A prominent Iranian lawyer has been jailed for 33 years and sentenced to 148 lashes after she defended women who removed their headscarves in public.
I condemn this utterly but I perceive a reluctance and bias to condemn similar incidents in Saudi where public beheadings are still carried out and women were only allowed to drive last year.
This is truly barbaric.
