'I was not sure NPA's prospects of success were strong enough for a winnable case against Zuma,' Ngcuka says in court papers | J_chabalala

Although there was a prima facie case of corruption against former president Jacob Zuma more than 10 years ago, it was doubtful the National Prosecuting Authority's prospects of success were strong enough for a"winnable" case.

He said the reason he decided not to prosecute Zuma was because, after considering the matter carefully, he had reached the conclusion that the NPA did not have a winnable case against him. Zuma said it was with a"heavy heart" that he has been the victim of prosecutorial misconduct and an inordinate delay in bringing him to trial."The much-publicised spy tapes attest to the most grotesque political manipulation and interference ever experienced in the post-apartheid criminal justice system.

J_chabalala Thanks for landing us in our current mess instead of prosecuting Zuma there & then & preventing his rise to power & subsequent abuses!

J_chabalala Ja right, we believe you (not!)

J_chabalala Ran into this guy in Jan with a gang of advocates around his table eJozi...kanti he's busy plotting😅

J_chabalala This sounds like dereliction of duty, or better yet, gross incompetence

J_chabalala Captured! Should rather have disbanded the NPA instead of the highly successful Scorpions!

J_chabalala That means you didn't investigate properly, as always. This NPA always bungle high profile cases. Look at all the indictments against the Guptas.

J_chabalala What absolute bollocks. What a cop-out.
