Elisha Abbo, the senator who represented Adamawa North Senatorial District, has apologised over his allegation that the Senate President Godswill Akpabio plotted his removal by the Court of Appeal.
He stated, “I have to say this with all sense of humility and responsibility that the press release we issued yesterday was premature and based on the available information at our disposal yesterday. “I swear by my mother’s grave that I’m not involved; I don’t even know that you’re in court,” he said.
He alleged that Akpabio had plans to remove Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, the former chief whip of the senate, and four other senators for not supporting his bid for the Senate presidency. Abbo described the court’s judgment against him as a “coup on democracy” and called on his supporters to remain steadfast.
