Former Miros director-general Khairil Anwar Abu Kassim was accused of forging documents to tender vehicles.

SHAH ALAM: Former director-general of the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research , Khairil Anwar Abu Kassim, has claimed trial to four charges for forging documents related to the tender of vehicles. He pleaded not guilty after the charges were read to him before sessions court judge Awang Kerisnada Mahmud here today.

Khairil Anwar, 47, was accused of forging tender documents from Tanjong Nova Sdn Bhd, Perantis Land Sdn Bhd, Bright Ability Sdn Bhd and Winntrack Auto for the supply of eight vehicles. The charges were framed under Section 468 of the Penal Code, which carries a punishment of imprisonment of up to seven years and a fine.
