A football coach has been sent to prison after he pushed his neighbour to the ground and strangled her disabled husband. Twisted, Martin Nelson, 37, launched the assaults earlier this year and has left his second victim terrified to leave the house.

Nelson was captured being verbally and physically abusive despite the presence of children and Mr Phillips' disability. "You then put your hands around his throat and strangled him," said Judge Carr. "What that footage shows is that he is clearly rendered unconscious and he goes to the ground and while he's in that terribly vulnerable state, you kick him.
He also detailed how he and his wife have no prospect of moving given the couple live in rented accommodation that has been adapted for Mr Phillips' disabilities. The property is subject to a contract with the local authority that if he leaves he has to pay for said adaptations, costing in the realm of £10,000.
