According to court documents Jake Gould committed the offence at Cask and Tap on Topping Street

A burglar who stole a till containing around £1,300 is set to face Christmas and New Year behind bars.

Jake Gould was sentenced after stealing the till from a commercial building in Blackpool. The 31-year-old appeared before Blackpool Magistrates Court yesterday . According to court documents the offence happened at Cask and Tap on Topping Street in the town centre on September 15 this year. Gould was given an immediate prison sentence totalling four months.Inspector Jon Campbell-Smith, of Blackpool Police, said: "Burglary is an intrusive crime that often leaves victims feeling vulnerable and unsafe, whether that be at a place of work or in their own homes.

"We will continue to work with partners and the community to bring those that believe this activity is acceptable to justice. I hope this sentence gives Gould's victims some measure of comfort."
