In a statement Thursday, the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Hajo Bello, said the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee under the Chairmanship of Justice Ariwoola approved the elevation of the 58 lawyers.
He said the approval is sequel to the Committee’s 159th Plenary session which was held in Abuja on Thursday.“The rank of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria is awarded as a mark of excellence to members of the legal profession who have distinguished themselves as advocates and academics,” Bello said. “The meeting further considered four different petitions written against some of the applicants and determined that each of petition lacked merit and thus dismissed.”
