As the body of another of Stephen Reid’s murder victims was unearthed by police this week, the net appeared to finally be closing in on the Coronation Street villain as he made a last minute attempt to escape justice.
Yet despite his crimes slowly beginning to be unearthed, it appeared Stephen was still one move ahead as he cleared out Underworld’s bank account on Wednesday’s visit to Weatherfield, 11 October, and made a last ditch attempt to flee the country to Thailand in the hopes of evading capture. Dodging the authorities with an elaborate scheme, which involved two bookings at different airports, Stephen soon made a last minute race to Liverpool airport after having his flight brought forward - all while the police were mistakenly racing to Manchester airport instead to intercept him.
Although the mystery of who had confiscated the valuable item has yet to be revealed, fans at home are convinced they’ve cracked the case already as they took to social media to share their theories.A second then added: "So soap week next week is Jenny held hostage for his passport?"
