Ogbodo insisted that George Tagbo Ogara was Enugu State candidate of the APC, having come through a rigorous and clearly process by the party faithful in a lawfully constituted primary election.
According to him, the party had absolute faith in the judiciary as the last hope of the common man, but said the process that led to the judgment left much to be desired. “First, Ayogu Eze’s appeal was argued in the open court on Monday, March 5, 2019, after which the presiding Judge announced to the parties present in court that judgment of the court would come “after the gubernatorial election.
“Adjourning a matter till after March 9, 2019 and delivering judgment less than 48 hours after amounts to stealing a match! What had changed so suddenly to warrant the emergency? We can ask questions till no end and get no satisfactory answers, but our confidence in the judiciary of this country cannot be changed or shaken by what had happened at the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja between Monday and today?.
“Thankfully, there is a court above, the Supreme Court, which we have no doubt shall do proper justice to this matter and restore our candidate as the flag-bearer of APC in Enugu State, however long it takes. As it would seem, the agents of darkness are not yet through with the Enugu State APC, but as a practicing Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I am persuaded that, in the end, the truth shall prevail.
