A new facility in Reading will help women who have been in contact with the criminal justice system.

A centre has opened to support women in Berkshire who have been in contact with the criminal justice system.

It has been set up by charity Advance, which aims to improve outcomes for women caught in the cycle of offending. Advance chief executive Niki Scordi said: "From our work with thousands of women each year, we know that prison is not the right place for most women who commit non-violent offences.
