SISTERS in Islam has helped thousands of Muslim women become aware of their rights, the human rights group said in response to PAS’ statement that it does not deserve to be granted a government allocation for its activities. SIS communications manager Majidah Hashim reminded PAS of the work the group has done for more than 30 years to educate Malay-Muslim women on their rights according to shariah law.
