By Karoun Demirjian Karoun Demirjian Congressional reporter focusing on national security Email Bio Follow March 8 at 10:13 AM The House Judiciary Committee’s top Republican on Friday released the transcript of an interview with Justice Department official Bruce Ohr, who came under the GOP’s scrutiny last year over his contacts with the author of a controversial dossier alleging President Trump had personal and financial ties to Russian officials.
Rep. Douglas A. Collins , the ranking Republican on the Judiciary Committee, elected to release Ohr’s transcript — the first of many interview records he is planning to put out in the coming weeks — with no redactions, over the objections of Justice Department officials who wanted to keep some information out of public view.
The president has denied he ever worked closely with Sater, and has sought to discredit Cohen’s testimony, calling him a liar and a “rat.” Cohen, who has pleaded guilty to lying to Congress and will begin a three-year prison sentence in May, has acknowledged that he once lied about the timeline of a Moscow tower that Trump was trying to build well into his presidential campaign to protect the president from scrutiny.
“partially funded” 😂 spin never disappoints.
EversFam WaPo is irrelevant now.
The GOP will do anything to distract from Trump's gang of criminals. Next Republicans will claim they found Lincoln's ghost and he was wearing a MAGA hat.
Guys! Weak Republicans are unable to force the EU to buy American shale gas! The next (after Trump) American president must be a woman to confirm equality! Now the lack of admission of women to the presidency is the American national tradition (discrimination)!
Ohr did what we would expect an FBI agent to do. What I'd like to know is why, every GD time the press mentions Strzok and Page sending anti-Trump text messages, they NEVER mention they also sent anti-HRC texts as well.
He isn't good for America
Another GOP whoop de do, big deal of nothing. They're the Redi-Whip of frothly investigations that go no where. All air. No substance. Should we give them points for trying, at least?
Seems like a “nothingburger” but okay.
Looks like the GOP is back to the tradition of creating an air of perfidy when the facts don't suit them.
Shows Steele was lying under oath.
Not sure why your article doesn’t come out and say that Bruce Ohr testimony completely contradicts Glenn Simpson’s. One lied under oath. I feel like if they were team Trump you’d be pointing that out.
This guy is a hero... just look at his record protecting america from Russia.
shame...this guy for years went after bad guys..just happens the bad guy is TRUMP...
Nellie thought she was pretty slick using that ham radio to communicate with Steele. What an idiot...
Time to expose the Democrats for weaponizing the DoJ and FBI to undermine an election.
A straightforward tweet means this is a story the mainstream media doesn’t want you to read
