A criminal lawyer charged in relation to the shooting death of a Sydney teenager has been granted bail after offering up more than $2.4 million as security. 9News

In handing down his decision to grant bail, Justice Fagan said it would be impossible for Abbas to prepare his defence without access to the 94 folders of evidence and facilities to listen to 5000 recorded phone calls.

“These are the principal circumstances that have satisfied me that the applicant has shown cause why his detention is not justified,” Justice Fagan said. Today the court heard that Abbas allegedly paid Brayden Dillon’s accused killer, Conrad Craig, $18,000 in cash in 2017 and also offered to pay him a further $25,000 and his legal fees.
