The family that controls the maker of OxyContin has been removed from a large hedge fund for its alleged role in fueling the opioid crisis

The billionaire family that controls OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma LP, already facing mounting legal and financial pressure, has been tossed out of a large hedge fund for its alleged role in fueling the opioid crisis.

Investment entities of the Sackler family were told late last year by Hildene Capital Management that it was no longer comfortable managing their money. Hildene said last week that someone known by members of the firm had suffered an opioid tragedy.

$14 billion in family wealth comes with a price, apparently.

What BS. When will this prohibition related nonsense ever go away. Oxycontin is just a typical opiate. (opioid is a stupid word created by funding parasites & is inferior to the older word) When you break your leg or have third degree burns it is a saint & a great thing.

I'm pretty sure these jews could care less how many Americans died from this crap.

OxyContin was a marketing scam that lied it's way past the people who should have been on guard and should have known better, instead we have dead and dying addicts by the tens of thousands. As usual the money of these billionaires will keep them safe in America.

The Sacklers = Devil

Genocide perpetrators. Yuck.

So the people that make life bearable for thousands of people including my wife are bad.. great ... they don't prescribe them

I give LastWeekTonight all the credit.

Not enough. They should get the rope

Shame on the Sackler family. They have proven themselves to be pure evil. They are directly responsible for numerous deaths. No amount of money is worth what you did, Sacklers. Shame.

Even incarnate. There’s a few seats at the head of the table of hell for these bastards.

They should be imprisoned for killing People all the while getting richer

they paid people to lie about the effects of oxycontin. Hundred of Thousands have died. They should have been in prison decades ago.

Oxycontin-maker Purdue Pharma reportedly exploring bankruptcy amid litigation over opioidsOxyContin-maker Purdue Pharma is exploring filing for bankruptcy amid thousands of lawsuits alleging the drug manufacturer contributed to the deadly opioid crisis sweeping the US, according to Reuters. Now this is a reason to celebrate!!!! Hmm, I think doctors know the truth Its not only the company’s fault. It’s the individual doctors and the patients themselves. It’s a three fold blame. The company should be least to blame. The biggest blame on doctors who abused. Patients should be culpable as well.
