Michael Cohen, President Trump's former lawyer, testifies before the House Oversight Committee on Feb. 27. By Aaron Blake Aaron Blake Senior political reporter, writing for The Fix Email Bio Follow March 7 at 8:31 AM Michael Cohen’s testimony before the House Oversight Committee last week has again come into question — this time for his comment about a potential pardon from President Trump.
The comment came in his opening statement, which suggests a careful and planned parsing. Cohen didn’t quite say there were never any discussions about a pardon; he instead said he never asked for one. His comment about whether he would accept one is also notably in the present tense and doesn’t specifically address whether it’s something he would have accepted before he flipped on Trump.
She was asked later that day in a news briefing about the possibility, and again she declined to dismiss it: The next day, Trump was asked about the possibility. He called it a “stupid question” but did not dispute that it was a possibility. In a terse statement to The Washington Post earlier Wednesday, Sekulow flatly denied Cohen’s allegation, calling it “not true” — and declining to elaborate further.
Geeez....huda thunk
The DC non capitalists resistance cabal do not want to merely impeach POTUS, the non capitalists and their alleged media they back, want POTUS to be imprisoned. Some of the cabal members did the same thing to James Trafficant, they expelled the guy and had him imprisoned 8 yrs
Yeah, he's known for ' skirting the truth ' but Congress is willing to believe him only if it's negative Trump testimony😳😳😳
He worked for a LIAR who had promised him & all of those busted before him a ‘don’t worry, I’ll take care of you, I’m 45, in true fashion he TURNED His BACK! No honor there but that’s ok b/c ALL of them, like Cohen need to face their CONSEQUENCES! Click, Click, CLANK, MFers!
Any port in the struggle to prove that he's lying to Congress
You don't know that. Highly doubt he was going to risk more prison time.
Attorneys usually discuss all possible legal options available to their clients with opposing counsel, regardless if specifically directed to do so by clients. It’s the reason anyone has legal counsel. How can a reporter confirm what Cohen directed his attorneys to do? Privilege?
He’s a liar. Why believe anything he says?
Liars lie . . . but sometimes also tell the truth too. Even Trump sometimes tells the truth.
Why did he lie?
Funny it sure sounds a lot like you are complaining about how Bill Clinton parsed the definition of 'is' is in his denial of having sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky isn't it. 🤣🤣
Cohen worked for Donald Trump for ~10 years. Remember that.
MOST of his testimony skirted the truth, he's a little slime ball
This is gonna be good: Magats will be calling him a liar; claiming that this invalidates his entire testimony because he lied; proclaiming that this completely vindicates Trump, a man who lies every time he opens his mouth. And none of them will see the irony.
At the beginning of the article, it says this was all confirmed. The rest of the article seems to be conjecture. 'To this point, there is no reporting to suggest that there was an explicit ask for a pardon.'
Please help to get this investigated by DHS OIG and the US authorities. Please help to get this to light. Justice need to be served.
Liar and I'd tell the demos your not getting anything from me.
Wait!!! Did They Asked Him Why There Is A Problem With President Donald Trump after Working For Him 10 years. He's Not New To Our President He's New To Us! 2 faces!!!!
You mean he lied?
He should Howell! Like coon dog! He resembles one!!
We have an occupant of the oval office who actually lies in every sentence
