Trump draws a majority 51% support among registered voters to just 48% for Biden, but Trump has an 8-point lead among those "very enthusiastic" and a 6-point lead among those "somewhat enthusiastic," according to the poll.
Trump has long argued mail-in balloting, pushed by Democrats, helped outdo the voter enthusiasm component of presidential elections, giving Biden more votes than he would have otherwise received with in-person voting during the 2020 presidential election. Trump also has high enthusiasm and momentum in the GOP presidential primary polling. Trump expanded his 24-point led in July to a 44-point lead in September, picking up 10 points of support, while Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis lost 10 points.North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, conservative broadcaster Larry Elder, and former Rep. Will Hurd, R-Texas, each received less than 0.5% of the vote. Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson and Michigan businessman Perry Johnson did not receive a single vote.
