Sky News host Chris Kenny gives an update on Marina Ovsyannikova, the Russian journalist who took a stand against the Russian invasion of Ukraine on a live news broadcast.\n\nMs Ovsyannikova held a sign saying 'stop the war' and 'they are lying to you' and followed it up with public comments calling Russian President Vladimir Putin a fascist, and asking how many more children must die before the war stops.\n\n“Ovsyannikova was fined initially but then charged with spreading false information,' Mr Kenny said. \n\n'Luckily the 45-year-old escaped to Europe with her daughter and is now living in France.\n\n'A court case in Moscow though has now handed down her sentence – in absentia, she was sentenced to eight and half years in jail, so clearly she won't be going home any time soon.'\n
