Reacting to a series of off-season incidents, including de Belin's matter, the NRL and the sport's governing body, the Australian Rugby League Commission ,The new rules required players accused of"serious indictable offences" — charges with a maximum penalty of 11 or more years — to be stood down on full pay while the matter was before the courts.

Yes, you’re not proven guilty until trial BUT you bring the game into disrepute which is the call of the league.

What a complete Joke! This man, whether innocent or guilty, has brought both the game and his Club into disrepute! Every time he raises his head he digs a bigger hole for himself! His Club should be looking to dump him from their roster! The NRL are acting in the best interests!

There is a precedent from other industries and government organisations that suspend people pending investigation. Not sure how this is any different.

I doubt that he will find support from anywhere or any success for his demands.
