The Piketberg Regional court today sentenced Jeandre Maarman to 10 years’ imprisonment of which four years’ are suspended for five years’ for dealing in drugs after he was found guilty on 06 September 2023. On 18 March 2023 the Provincial Organized Crime Narcotics Unit in Vredendal conducted a vehicle checkpoint on the N7 freeway when they noticed a vehicle stopping alongside the road and the occupants disposing of bag from the vehicle.
