Industry Minister Karen Andrews is calling for a woman to replace outgoing former defence industry minister Steven Ciobo in his blue-ribbon Queensland seat of Moncrieff.

Ms Andrews, the state’s first female federal cabinet minister, is an outspoken critic of the LNP’s statistics with women, saying ‘we know that women are

underrepresented.’ The Gold Coast Bulletin is reporting Karly Abbott, a lawyer and long-time advisor to Mr Ciobo, is a likely candidate for preselection.

Karen Andrews launches an anyone but Dutton campaign.

Does that mean Peter Dutton won’t be able to slip into the safe seat? 😂 the Libs will be fighting over moncrieff bcz we are about to get rid of Dutton in Dickson

So not based on merit? Just based on being a woman?

Don’t be a dick!

Not for you to decide Lady. It's the Liberal party, the boys will sort this out.
