The trial may hear from the defence team's blood spatter expert before Dennis Oland is sworn in as a witness.
The investment adviser was charged with his father's murder in 2013 and has steadfastly maintained his innocence. He was convicted in a jury trial in 2015, but that verdict was set aside on appeal in 2016 and the new trial ordered.
