Farroukh, during his tenure, was credited with remarkable milestones in growth and profitability, including the unprecedented growth of MTN Nigeria’s subscriber base from nine to 40 million. As the GCOE of MTN Group, he led more than 19 operations, which were largely profitable. After the parties failed to agree, Farroukh, six years ago, initiated legal proceedings against MTN Group. The case has however suffered delays, with some sources in the know of the proceedings accusing MTN of deliberately stalling the expeditious resolution of the case.
