Human rights lawyer Julian Burnside has confirmed he will be throwing his hat in the race for Josh Frydenberg's Victorian seat of Kooyong in the upcoming federal election.
Running as a Green's candidate, Mr Burnside has been strongly critical of the Coalition's approach to border protection.
