WASHINGTON - Matthew Whitaker, whose brief tenure as acting U.S. attorney general was marred by accusations that he might try to interfere in a probe of President Donald Trump’s campaign, left his Justice Department job over the weekend, a department spokeswoman confirmed on Monday.
In mid-February, Attorney General William Barr was sworn in and Whitaker stepped down from the top post to become a senior counselor in the office of the associate attorney general. Whitaker first joined the Justice Department as former Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ chief of staff in the fall of 2017. Trump hand-picked him as acting attorney general in November after the president fired Sessions.
The Justice Department also separately faced a backlash in the form of multiple lawsuits alleging Whitaker’s appointment violated the U.S. Constitution and the federal law governing succession at the department.
The White House will announce later that MatthewWhitaker was one of their best covfefe boys.
He looks so uncomfortable. And unqualified just like Donald.
Who is going to work for Fox News?
Hey there MattWhitaker46 If the door hit you on the way out you could send a threatening letter to the US government saying you will sue. Either way, so glad you are no longer there. Cheers! DrainTheSwamp Resist

Dang, one less SNL character to develop.
As he should. Was the AG Chief of staff, then acting AG, so why go back to rank and file.
He can go sell more toilets now.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Still trying to figure out why he was there in the first place?
