On a trip to Canberra to campaign for the rights of people with disabilities, Monica McGhie was made to leave her wheelchair behind.

An issue with a mobility taxi meant she missed her flight from Canberra to Sydney, and that pushed her onto a later Jetstar flight.

Jetstar told the ABC in a statement it relied on a 2012 Federal Court decision that upheld its two wheelchairs per flight practice on its Airbus A320 aircraft. Ms Cox said the impact of the decision meant wheelchair users like herself, who rely on Jetstar, never know whether they will be able to book one of the two available seats."The anxiety [of wondering] can I get there, will I be able to get home, what happens if I can't get home on the day that I booked my flight?"

Nice one QANTAS

So do I understand this right: Every airplane which does not fit her wheelchair through the cargo door should be modified? YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. Madam, I feel sorry for your disability but every minority group in the world can’t have their specific needs catered for.
