The police file for the death of Chloe Mitchell should be with the PPS “some time in November,” a court heard today .
The court heard previously that a download of Rainey’s phone had resulted in 45,000 pages and today , the PPS said while there’s been a “slight delay” in going through that, “the police now have the phone report but the accompanying discs containing the evidential videos and images are yet to be reviewed”.
As regards forensic evidence, the court heard that “scientists have advised that there’s a significant piece of interpretation required and the provisional target date is the end of October”. Ms Mitchell was last seen on CCTV in the early hours of Saturday June 3 in Ballymena town centre and detectives investigating her disappearance launched a murder inquiry after suspected human remains were found in Ballymena.
