STORY CONTINUES BELOW THESE SALTWIRE VIDEOSA Scotchtown man is to serve a conditional sentence having previously entered guilty pleas to drug and tobacco charges.

Aaron Matthew Gillis, 38, pleaded guilty to selling flavoured tobacco, possession of a vape product exceeding 240 millilitres, possession of cannabis for distribution and possession of cannabis for selling.A conditional sentence allows offenders to serve their time in the community under strict conditions.

Gillis is to complete a six-month sentence. During the first three months he is to remain under house arrest and be subject to a curfew during the following three months.A provincial court trial date has been set for a Sydney man facing weapon offences. Ryan Michael Grant, 33, is now to stand trial Feb. 15 on charges of careless storage of a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon knowing he was not authorized.Grant is also scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Jan. 18 on possession for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking and possession of money knowing it was obtained by the crime.Grant continues his release on conditions.
