Two former NHS bosses are accused of accepting bribes from three directors of Ayrshire-based telecoms firm Oricom.

Five men are to face trial on a catalogue of bribery and corruption charges relating to NHS contracts worth £6.5million across a string of health boards.

He is accused of corruptly receiving financial rewards from Sharoudi and Brown resulting in a £915,716.32 contract for supply and maintenance of telecoms equipment being awarded to Oricom. He is further alleged to have pretended that mobile bills totalling £5,283,92 - incurred by Fiona Hush, Martin Hush and Michael Hush - were incurred by health board employees.

The three directors are alleged to have given a further advantage to Stewart totalling £79,974.20 - consisting of money, hotel stays, hospitality, plane tickets, car rental costs and a stay at Seamill Hydro, Ayrshire, for him and his wife. Cox is accused of giving Brown an advantage over the tendering process, leading to a contact worth £3, 716,751.35.
