Ukraine brought the case to the United Nations’ apex court just days after the Russian invasion on February 24, last year.

Kyiv, the Ukraine seat of power, argued that Russia is abusing international laws by saying the invasion was justified to prevent an alleged genocide in eastern Ukraine.
