FIVE suspects in the mysterious disappearance of cockfighting aficionados have been arrested in Paranaque City by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by a Manila court.

Julie Patidongan, alias Dondon Mark Carlo Zabala; Virgilio Bayog; Roberto Matillano, Jr.; Johnry R. Consolacion and Gleer Codilla were ordered arrested by Manila RTC Branch 40 after they were charged with the kidnapping and serious illegal detention of six cockfighting aficionados who have been reported missing since Jan. 13, 2022, according to the Criminal Investigation Detection Group Region 4A.

Records showed that the families of the victims identified as James Baccay, Marlon Baccay, Rondel Cristorium, Mark Joseph Velasco, John Claude Venson Inonog and Rowel Gomez filed a complaint on Jan. 14, 2022 before the CIDG against the security personnel of the Manila Cockpit Arena.The disappearance of the cockfighting aficionados went viral after their families appeared in public and exposed that there were other sabungeros who have gone missing since April 2021.
