Police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo said her body was found in the early hours of Monday morning.

The 39-year-old woman was reported missing on Sunday and police immediately launched a search operation.

The man is expected to appear in the Moretele Magistrate's Court on a charge of murder on Wednesday. "Police will continue to prioritise crime committed against women and children and would like to emphasise that there is no waiting period for reporting a missing person. If reported, police will act immediately," said Masondo.
