What will be 'incorrect' next?

I feel as if my values and rights are not considered anymore so we don’t offend others, what about us?! We are living in dark times, I know Jesus walks with me and loves me unconditionally❤️

Liberals triggered by a cross.

The cross like that is now more of a universal grave symbol rather than a religious symbol. There is no reason to take it down.

Lets use some common sense here, this cross inparticular was erected on private land by private citizens. As stated it was purchased by the Maryland park commission. This cross should be grandfathered in since originally it took place on private land by private donations.

Only thing they should be decideing is when to power wash it !

Why is this subject even being discussed?

Not on government property. If you think it doesn't represent a particular faith, then why was it made as a cross shape? Why not a pentagram or a OM symbol? you show your bias when you say why you offended? I'm offended that you can't understand it.

How disgraceful.

The world has gone mad.

So like I’m not a Christian or religious under any possible perspective so I have to say, if this monument makes others uncomfortable, perhaps it’s their lack in believing themselves which raises objections to this monument. It’s not in the face. It’s a sign of respect.

Erasing history is not a solution for anything.

How freak'n stupid. The monument/cross was originally erected on private land. Anyone who can't deal with passing by it each day is a pathetic nutcase.

Sad 😢

Try to take the cross I carry within my heart😁

Let’s compare the 11,000 offended Jewish vets to the total Christian numbers that fought and died shall we ? Include the ones that fought the Ottomans and handed those ingrates Palestine on a plate. Jewish vets -an oxymoron.

Ill bet an analysis of the cases will show that more often than not these religious structures promote history or community engagement and not the religion directly

Leave it alone. I’m offended that you are meeting to remove it.

Leave it be

yyy

Im offended that others are offended by a cross

The cross denotes and memorializes a historical event..it in no way establishes or advances a particular religion..ridiculous

Because Jews & Gays love the Christian representation of god aka the “cross” NOT

Good. We're finally on the path to having all my money say 'WE TRUST IN NOTHING' ... as for the cross, the parks department should give the land back to a private group if they accepted it in bad faith

I don’t see a problem

Put it on private property and move on. Hug a Vet.

Leave the Catholic religion alone you haters

who is offended by this one?

This building tells the courage of the heroic soldiers.

We should respect our veterans and our religious symbols!

Emotionally I would leave the cross, legally it should be moved.

Were any of the 49 soldiers members of any other religion? If not, then the answer is it does not entangle itself in religion.

War over 'Peace Cross' puts Supreme Court in crosshairs of debate over government involvement with religionThe Supreme Court will be on trial itself this month when it considers the fate of a 40-foot Latin cross honoring World War I dead. I feel no sympathy for anyone offended by the Peace Cross or any other religious expression. The Establishment Clause forbids a Church of America vis-à-vis the Church of England or Ireland, but not religious symbols. All religions are cults... some just have more followers than others Put a baphomet right next to it
