More than 1,000 jobs await jobseekers at the upcoming Oplan Kabuhayan Jobs Fair of the Puwersa ng Bayaning Atleta Partylist in partnership with the regional office of the Department of Labor and Employment slated on September 23, 2023, at SM City Davao.

Lawyer Randolf C. Pensoy, OIC regional director of DOLE 11, said on Monday that 40 local employers were invited and 25 confirmed their participation offering 1,804 job vacancies.

Lawyer Migs Nograles, representative for PBA Partylist, said Oplan Kabuhayan Jobs Fair 2023 aims to bring more employment opportunities to the Dabawenyos and applicants from outside Davao City. “We are discussing basin puwede i-open din online to cater to more applicants. Oplan Kabuhayan Jobs Fair is an original project of my late father, former speaker Prospero Nograles and the first job fair took place in October 2006 at SM City Davao,” she said during the Kapehan sa Davao at SM City Davao on Monday.

Eventually, the job fair became an annual event that has been consecutively carried out by her brothers, former Congressman and now chairman of the Civil Service Commission Karlo Nograles and former PBA Partylist Representative Jericho “Koko” Nograles.
