A much-needed 10-month revamp will soon start at a Nottingham high-rise described as cold and prison-like by residents. , which owner Nottingham City Council has acknowledged.

Planning permission was granted for these upgrades on July 7, 2022, but Nottingham City Council explained a start date had not yet been reached earlier this year. The local authority has now explained preparation for the improvements is scheduled to begin in December, after which it would take 44 weeks to complete the new balcony winter gardens, roofing works, external wall insulation, new external windows, and new lighting, signage and landscaping.
