Phadima Fukula, who faces perjury charges for lying about Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane and Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, has handed himself over to the authorities.

The spokesperson for the Hawks, Captain Yolisa Mgolodela, said Fukula presented himself in the East London Magistrate's court on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old former ANC activist allegedly falsely accused Zondo of receiving a bribe from Mabuyane. News24 understands the alleged amount to be R5 million.
