Today a driver almost crashed head on into my car because she was texting. I had to swerve off the road to avoid impact. She stopped her car with her phone still in her hand. I had just driven past this site when I began to see the police cars and ambulance etc rushing to assist. It is just terrible that police can’t go about the simplest of their duties without being in danger from a selfish idiot. Please don’t use your phone to text when driving. This is what happens when severe penalties are introduced for 'touching' your phone. People attempt clandestine communication via texting. Just let people talk and LOOK! Then introduce severe penalties for actually texting.
