Man Charged with Assaulting Child in Family Dispute

A 42-year-old man has been charged with assaulting a child during a family dispute.

Belleville police were called to a dispute between family members at a north end residence shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday. As a result of an investigation, a 42-year-old Belleville man was charged with two counts of assault.The accused, who is not being named to protect the identity of the victim, has an August 31 court date.
