Dublin Fire Brigade have rushed to the aid of Clontarf residents left trapped by flooding

A number of families have been forced to flee their home in Clontarf amid serious flooding brought on by Storm Antoni.

Electricity had been cut off as water flooded the basement of the apartment building.

Firefighters from North Strand and Phibsboro assisted with the rescue. DFB also confirmed they were attending the flooded basement in the apartment block. The persistent rain also disrupted Irish Rail services this morning. Services were suspended between Killester and Clontarf Road due to flooding but resumed shortly before 1pm.
