Lawyers say a Queensland court decision shows the detention of three children in police watch houses was unlawful and raises concerns about potentially "many more".A judge ordered the urgent transfer of three children out of watch houses and into youth detention

The ABC understands two of the young people are now in youth detention centres, while the third is in transit. "The detention of children is extremely serious and must occur only according to law," Bridget Burton, of Caxton Legal Centre, said in a statement.
