The LEAP officer was off duty at the time of the incident and was walking in Hengelaar street, while carrying a baby.
Western Cape Minister of Police Oversight and Community Safety, Reagen Allen extended his condolences to all those affected by the incident. Allen added that every possible measure would be taken to hold the culprit accountable for his actions.
