Trump is facing 40 counts from the classified documents indictment. Walt Nauta is facing five counts, and Carlos De Oliveira was recently indicted on four felony charges for allegedly conspiring to delete surveillance footage from Mar-a-Lago.Special counsel Jack Smith said in a court filing that the federal government provided Nauta and Trump with a third"production of unclassified discovery" on Monday.
The additional information includes CCTV footage, data used to obtain a search warrant, memorialization of witness interviews, and grand jury transcripts, according to the court filing.
"The Government’s representation at the July 18 hearing that all surveillance footage the Government had obtained pre-indictment had been produced was therefore incorrect," he added."With the completion of Production 3, the Government has also now disclosed all unclassified memorialization of witness interviews finalized by today’s date and all grand jury transcripts in the Government’s possession," Smith asserted in the filing.
Smith revised his original indictment against Nauta and Trump that he filed in June, hitting both men with new charges last week stemming from allegations of conspiracy to delete security footage. Both men have pleaded not guilty to the charges. In the revised indictment, Smith named De Oliveira as a third defendant in the case. De Oliveira made his first appearance in court on Monday. His arraignment was delayed until Aug.
Smith wrote Monday that once De Oliveira"enters an appearance," the federal government will provide all three productions to De Oliveira's counsel.
