Doug Snelgrove has been granted bail while he waits for a decision by the Supreme Court of Canada on whether they will hear an appeal of his sexual assault conviction.Snelgrove was on duty with the RNC one night in 2014 when he sexually assaulted a woman in her residence after driving her home in his police car.

He was sentenced in 2021 to four years in jail for the assault. That came following three previous trials, in which the first two were thrown out due to errors by the judges.A police officer will find out this afternoon if he will get bail as he awaits a decision from the Supreme Court of Canada on whether his appeal will be heard.

Doug Snelgrove was on duty with the RNC one night in 2014 when he sexually assaulted a woman in her residence after driving her home in his police car. He has appealed the conviction to the highest court in Canada. He also applied for bail as he waits for a decision from the federal court on whether it will hear the matter.
