Thursday that the allegations about Trump directing aides to delete security footage helps to “flesh out” prosecutors’ argument that Trump was aware what he was doing was illegal and was purposely trying to obstruct the DOJ’s investigation. “There is no reason for you to delete the security footage if you didn’t think you did anything wrong,” Jarrett said on MSNBC.

“Defendant Trump’s personal residences and offices are not lawful locations for the discussion of classified information, any more than they would be for any private citizen,” the DOJ argued, noting it was “particularly striking that he seeks permission to do so in the very location at which he is charged with willfully retaining the documents charged in this case.
