Witness tells court of Kelly Khumalo's connection to one of Meyiwa's alleged killers | City Press

Colonel Steyn told the court that Kelly Khumalo had been in touch with one of the men accused of killing Senzo MeyiwaFourth state witness and SA Police Service Colonel Lambert Steyn has connected the mystifying dots suggesting that singer Kelly Khumalo was connected and had communication with two of the accused men linked to the murder of Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana skipper Senzo Meyiwa.

Steyn, who is giving evidence in the Pretoria High Court on Friday, testified that the accused men were in communication with each other, contrary to their claims that they did not know each other.He made a startling revelation that Meyiwa’s iPhone handset was in his possession at the hospital, contradicting Zandile Khumalo's version of events. Zandile claimed that the phone was left on the kitchen floor as events unfolded.

Steyn said these were eight calls between Kelly Khumalo and former Kaizer Chiefs football player David Mathebula on October 27 2014, the day after the shooting.
