He was remanded in custody on Thursday

Cops raced to a street in Cardonald after midnight on Thursday, July 27, following reports of a disturbance. A man was arrested and has since been charged with allegedly carrying an offensive weapon.

Emergency services rushed to Queensland Gardens at around 12.10am. Derek Douglas, 28, was arrested and appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court yesterday where he was remanded in custody. A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: "Around 12.10am on Thursday, 27 July, 2023, officers were called to reports of a disturbance at Queensland Gardens, Glasgow."A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with carrying an offensive weapon.
