Two weeks after the Constitutional Court confirmed a ruling that invalidated former president Jacob Zuma's medical parole, the correctional services department has yet to decide whether he must return to jail – and has now asked"interested parties" for input.
"The Department of Correctional Services has reached out to interested parties to make representations before 4 August 2023," the department's spokesperson, Singabakho Nxumalo, told News24"Thereafter, the national commissioner will consider every material relevant to the matter, including guiding prescripts within the space of corrections and make a decision."Get 14 days free to read all our investigative and in-depth journalism.
